According to every businessman in every elevator in Portland, the upcoming week's predicted weather conditions are being described by sensational news outlets as "Arctic Blast". I hope we can all agree that this sounds as if a giant destructive Slurpee is headed towards our fair city, which leads me to wonder whether or not Portland has an anti-Slurpee contingency plan in place. Despite my midwestern skepticism that we're actually going to see any frosty apocalyptic conditions, I would nonetheless like to propose a course of action in the event of an actual Arctic Blast: nerd games! I have all the Catans, Munchkin, Chrome Aces (ha), PS2 with DDR mats, etc. In the event that anyone out there is actually at home reading this PUMA site on Monday because downtown Portland is an iced-over ghost town, please convene at my house for drinking and unrestrained nerdiness. Star Trek: TNG marathon?? I'm up for anything. Also, if other people don't start posting races and shit on this website, it's just gonna gradually turn into my blog...
